The safety unit (4), for a bleed screw (2) inserted into the housing (1) of a hydraulic system, is a one-piece cap to cover the free end of the bleed screw (2), with a sealing apron (6) tightly against the housing (1). The cap shrouds the threaded section (10) and the section (9) to be gripped by a tool. The apron is of injection molded plastics, with a material bond with the bleed screw, or they are both injection molded together.
