PURPOSE: A time number determining method for rinsing of a washing machine is provided to control a water level for rinsing and a number of rinsing according to a bubble degree and a bubble remove ratio. CONSTITUTION: A time number determining method for rinsing of a washing machine includes the steps of computing a mean voltage value per section by detecting thickness sensing voltage periodically and judging a bubble generation degree by the calculated value, adding absolute values of a difference between a current thickness sensing voltage with a previous one, obtaining a bubble remove ratio by judging a bubble amount from mean voltage values per section, a voltage value at an initial period, an absolute value of a difference among a certain period and previous and next period thereof, and determining a number of rinsing on the basis of the bubble amount and the bubble remove ratio.
