RECORDING/REPRODUCING/ EDITING SYSTEM FOR VIDEO/VOICE STREAM DATA

摘要

A system for recording, reproducing, and editing video/voice stream data, having video data and voice data mixed therein. Since a stream data recording device records stream data while making the head of each video encoding unit and the head of each voice encoding unit corresponding to each video encoding unit, both contained in the stream data, agree with the head of each access unit of a storage medium, a stream data reproducing device and a stream data editing device can reproduce/edit the stream data freely on a video encoding unit basis by using a stream data structure and the random accessibility of the storage medium. The stream data recording device can produce an endless recorded picture not requiring a complicated file handling by replacing, for each video encoding unit, stream data recorded on a storage medium with a new one.
