Clutch engagement timing of automatic transmission is detected, when shift position of automatic transmission is switched to traveling range (38a) from non-travel range (38b). Flow of bypass air which flows in bypass path of throttle valve towards air-suction inlet or engine, is controlled at the time of clutch engagement. An Independent claim is also included for idling control apparatus.
