摘要 The invention relates to a method for carrying out the two-stage catalytic gas phase oxidation of propene to form acrylic acid. The inventive method provides that, in a multitube fixed-bed reactor, the reaction gas starting mixture having a propene load >/= 160 Nl propene / l.h is firstly conducted over a fixed-bed catalyst feed material (1), which is located in two successive temperature zones A, B, and afterwards, is conducted over a fixed-bed catalyst feed material (2), which is accommodated either in another temperature zone C or in two additional temperature zones D, E. The temperature of zone A is maintained at a lower temperature than that of zone B, and the temperature of zone D is maintained at a lower temperature than that of zone E.
