The machine casing (1) has a divided bearing fitting (2) with two clamping surfaces (3, 3'), both of which are made of material of similar hardness. there is also at least one ridge-form region (5) of a different hardness which can be welded onto one of these clamping surfaces. The hardness of the materials of the two clamping surfaces may be identical.
