An optical lens (1) consisting of a plurality of unit optical lenses piled to form a plurality of layers, each unit optical lens comprising two 1st optical member array (2) in which a plurality of pillar-shaped optical members (10) acting on respective lights emitted from respective light emitting devices (21) are arranged, and a 2nd optical member (3) which is formed into a pillar shape by a light transmitting material and in which two 1st optical member arrays (2) are buried in the axial direction of the pillar, characterized in that the material of the respective pillar-shaped optical members (10) has a higher refractive index than the light transmitting material of the 2nd optical member (3). Since the 1st optical member array (2) is buried in the 2nd optical member (3) to provide a one-piece structure, the optical lens (1) can be easily placed at a proper position. Further, since the unevenness produced by the curved surfaces of the respective pillar-shaped optical members (10) is not exposed outside, dust, etc. do not stay in the uneven parts, so that an optical lens with excellent light emitting performance can be realized. Moreover, since muliple-layer piling type is used, the optical lens (1) can be applied to muliple-layer piling type semiconductor laser array (21) as well.
