Textiles are cleaned, dried, refurbished and disinfected from vermin by exposing them to pressures well below atmospheric, e.g. below 20 hPa. Optionally they can be heated at the same time by infra-red radiation or microwaves. They can subsequently be rehumidified, with the addition of perfumes. An Independent claim is also included for the installation necessary to carry out the process, including vacuum vessels and humidification plant under automatic control.
