<p>At least two layers of PVC based plastisols containing foaming agents (pref. azodicarbonamide, pp' oxybis (benzensulphonyl hydrazide), pp' oxybis (benzene sulphonyl semicarbazide)) are successively applied to the back of the fabric, and each layer has a higher foaming temp. than the preceding layer so that layers can be foamed and hardened separately after all of the layers have been applied. Pref. each layer is prehardened at a temp. below foaming temp. and hardening is effected with IR. The high quality fabric is used for carpeting or upholstery, and the foam backing is uniform and is applied without damage to the textile pile fabric.</p> |
