Separating metals esp. Ni from their ores with recuperation of FeCl2 which is reused in the separator. FeCl2 is added to the separator with other chloriding agents e.g. CaCl2 or NaCl. The FeCl2 is recuperated by injecting cold powdered ore onto which the chloride condenses. By mixing FeCl2 with other chlorides the efficiency is increased. This process also recuperates all or part of the HCl present in the gas. |
