R-Enantiomers of N-propargyl-1-aminoindane compounds, process of their preparation and pharmaceutical preparations in which they are comprised

R-(+)-N-propargyl-1-aminoindane of formula (I) and its pharmaceutically acceptable acid addn. salts are new. (I) is prepd. by reacting R(-)-1-aminoindane with propargyl bromide or chloride in the presence of base (and opt. of solvent), then (I) is isolated by e.g. chromatography, distn. or selective extraction. The racemic starting material can be used instead and (I) then recovered by fractional crystallisation of salts formed with an optically active acid.
