A double-cylinder circular knitting machine for producing sock goods is provided with patterning stoppers (2), needle jacks (3) and double-head needles (4). In track of upper heels (23) of the patterning stoppers (2) there is arranged a disengaging lifting cam (10). Beyond this cam (10) there is arranged in the track of middle heels (22) of the patterning stoppers (2) a lifting cam (7) for lifting the needle jacks (3) to the height of a fixed gripping lock (8).
