PURPOSE: A method for preparing glass marble is provided, to obtain the glass marble whose surface is uneven and which has the randomly formed natural design of molten state and the artistic appearance similar to that of natural marble. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of crushing the waste glass member(200) into the random size; washing the crushed glass pieces(203); optionally mixing the washed glass pieces with a dye for ceramic; piling up the crushed glass pieces into a frame; heating the piled glass pieces in a furnace to allow the fused part to be devitrified; and cooling the heated glass pieces slowly. Preferably the heating process comprises the steps of the first heating at a temperature of 700-900 deg.C; the second heating at a temperature of 900-1,100 deg.C; and optionally the third heating at a temperature of 1,200 deg.C.
