The proposed pack (4) of hot plates is intended for tangential, optionally radial building in a heating surface carrier (3) having trapezoidal segmented cells (13), of a regenerative hot eat exchanger (1) with stationary or rotating accumulating masses. The hot plate packet comprises a plurality of adjacent profile plates held together but leaving flow channels between them. On at least two opposing packet sides (18, 19) the two outer profile plates (14, 15) are formed as shape-stable profile plate pairs (17). At least both outer profile plates (14, 15) are coupled with each other in sandwich-type manner.
