PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for purifying hydrocarbon and a malodor emitting material in the exhaust gas containing excess of oxygen, methane and the malodor emitting material. SOLUTION: The catalyst for decomposing hydrocarbons and the malodor emitting material in the exhaust gas containing excess of oxygen, methane and the malodor emitting material is obtained by depositing palladium on tin oxide.
