PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection type four-cycle engine that is scarcely influenced by the difference in detected values even when the difference in detected values of a throttle opening sensor is caused by the changes of boost pressure at the starting of the engine. SOLUTION: A fuel injection type four-cycle engine 9 is provided with an air inlet pipe 66 to introduce air into a cylinder 11, a throttle valve 72 to adjust airflow in the air inlet pipe, a throttle opening sensor 74 attached at the end of a valve shaft 72a of the throttle valve to detect the opening of the throttle valve, an injector 76 to inject fuel, and a control device 111. The control device performs accelerated increase of fuel injection quantity of the injector temporarily in accordance with the changing quantity when the opening of the throttle valve detected by the throttle opening sensor is increased. The control device does not perform aforesaid accelerated increase at the starting of the engine.
