PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer head and its manufacturing method wherein the peripheral edge part of an ink feed groove is hard to chip or crack. SOLUTION: A pattern opening peripheral edge part 41a of a resist mask 41 for forming the ink feed groove is formed wide to be outside an initial opening peripheral edge part 28-1 of a common electrode 28, which is then sand blasted. A surface of a head chip substrate 25 exposed to the interior of a pattern opening of the resist mask 41 is cut. Concurrently with this, the initial opening peripheral edge part 28-1 of the common electrode 28 similarly exposed to the interior of the pattern opening of the resist mask 41 is cut. A predetermined time later, an opening peripheral edge part 28a of the common electrode 28 is formed to a position further cut from the pattern opening peripheral edge part 41a of the resist mask 41, and an opening peripheral edge part 33a of the ink feed groove 33 is formed to the same position in the same shape. The peripheral edge part of the ink feed groove 33 finished with the resist mask 41 removed strongly adheres to the common electrode 28, and is therefore prevented from chipping or cracking.
