PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shearing machine which accurately positions a work without hanging-down it when it is positioned and which carries out forwardly a sheared work without removing the remaining work to improve the carrying- out efficiency. SOLUTION: An upper cutting edge 6 and a lower cutting edge 3, a back gauge 7, and a conveyor device 12 are respectively installed in the rear of a table 2. The back gauge 7 is incorporated into the conveyor device 12, and after a work W carried-in through the table 2, us struck with the back gauge 7 to be positioned while it is supported by the conveyor device 12, the work is sheared by the upper cutting edge 6 and the lower cutting edge 3. A sheared- off work W1 is advanced on the conveyor device 12 in state where it is clamped by the back gauge 7 to be carried out through the front table 2 while remaining work W is pushed out.
