PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heading machine which allows preventing a die and punch from breakage and lock phenomenon at the beating point of the punch even if overload pressure has acted on. SOLUTION: The machine is provided with a cam 14 on a ram 4, which has a punch 5 at the front end, to change the projection of the punch 5 from the front of the ram 4 linearly, screwed with a nut 17 with a screw shaft 16 on the cam 14 to move the cam 14 linearly by the rotation of the nut 17. Between the nut 17 and a pressure receiver 15, which holds the nut 17 rotatably on the ram 4, provides the oil-hydraulic cylinder 19 to relieve the overload pressure and allow the nut 17 to move to the pressure receiver 15 when the oil pressure goes over the specified value.
