PURPOSE: To provide a power window device capable of reliably opening a one's own seat side window by operation of a one's own seat side window opening switch at flooding time of an automobile and capable of opening the window when nipped in the window. CONSTITUTION: This power window device includes a window opening switch 7D, a window closing switch 7U, a window opening/closing motor 12, a window opening relay 13D and a window closing relay 13U, and is provided with a motor rotatably driving circuit 15 for switching the motor rotating direction, a submergence detecting circuit 17 for outputting a submergence detecting signal at submergence time, a nipping-in detecting circuit 19 for outputting a nipping-in detecting signal at nipping-in detecting time to a window and a power source cut circuit 18 for cutting off supply of a power source to the window closing relay 13U of the motor rotatably driving circuit 15 when outputting either of the submergence detecting signal or the nipping-in detecting signal. |
