PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to increase usage life of panel by forming protection layer which is strong resistant against an ion impact and high hardness on phosphor, to reduce holding voltage by emitting the second electron of protection layer. CONSTITUTION: A several barrier rib(16) to support front substrate is installed on rear substrate(10) in a uniform interval. Phosphor(18) is formed at a uniform film thickness between above barrier ribs(16). Protection layer(20) of uniform thickness is formed on the top of phosphor(18). DLC, a-CNx, which is of high hardness and high beam transmittance, is used as protection layer(18) that is deposited by chemical vapor deposition. |
