PURPOSE: A window air conditioner with reduced noise level is provided, in which the blower fan disposed in the indoor area is separated from the motor of the cooling fan disposed in the outdoor area, to thereby prevent the noise generated from the cooling fan and the compressor in the outdoor area from being transferred to the indoor area. CONSTITUTION: A window air conditioner(101) includes indoor and outdoor cases(111,131) which are mounted separately at the window. The indoor case has an inlet port(113) and an outlet port(114) communicated to the indoor area, and the outdoor case has an inlet port(133) communicated to the outdoor area and an outlet port(134) formed at the rear surface of the outdoor case. A connection opening(127) connects bottom surfaces of the indoor case and the outdoor case so as to allow the condensate water and the refrigerant pipe to pass through the connection opening. An indoor heat exchanger and a blower fans(119) are disposed in an indoor area(112), and an outdoor heat exchanger, a compressor(135) and a cooling fan(139) are disposed in an outdoor area(132). The blower fan disposed in the indoor area for heat-exchanging the indoor air through the indoor heat exchanger is separated from a motor(140) of the cooling fan disposed in the outdoor area. Thus, the noise generated from the cooling fan and the compressor in the outdoor area is prevented from being transferred to the indoor area through an indoor motor(120). |
