PURPOSE: An automatic bid processing method is provided to process auction procedures among the computers connected to a network, to enable a user to set a maximum price and to automatically determine a successful bidder and price as soon as finishing the auction. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a seller registering data on a commodity put up for auction on an auction server(21), the auction server putting up the commodity for auction from the price presented by the seller(22), bidders presenting the bid price on the commodity(23), the server asking the bidder if the bidder inputs a maximum bid price(24), the bidder inputting the maximum price(25), the server finishing the bidding procedure(26), the server designating the bidder presenting the final bid price(P1) as a successful bidder(27b) if the final bid price(P1) is larger than the highest maximum bid price(P2)(27a), designating the bidder presenting the bid price ahead of others as the successful bidder(28b) if the P1 is equal to the P2(28a), designating the bidder presenting the highest maximum price(29a) if the P1 is smaller than or equal to the P2(29b), and the server displaying the successful bidder and price(31).
