PURPOSE: An asymmetric fast data modem apparatus having a telephone line networking function and a communication system using thereof are provided to transmit user interface output to a plurality of user terminals using a generic telephone line network, without using LAN cables. CONSTITUTION: An asymmetric fast data modem apparatus having a telephone line networking function consists of the first band pass filter(201), the second band pass filter(202), a line transformer(203), a hybrid circuit(204), a high pass filter(205), a driver(206), a data transmit-receive processing part(207), and a user interface(208). The second band pass filter(202) passes only an asymmetric fast data frequency band(26KHz-1.2MHz) to interrupt interference a user interface signal gives to an ADSL signal frequency band. The line transformer(203) converts a balanced mode signal passed through the second band pass filter(202) into an unbalanced mode signal. The hybrid circuit(204) executes a function of conversion between 2-wire and 4-wire. The high pass filter(205) passes only the signals of the asymmetric fast data frequency band. The driver(206), in a receiving mode, amplifies an ADSL signal outputted from the high pass filter(205) and outputs it to the data transmit-receive processing part(207). In a transmitting mode, the driver(206) amplifies an ADSL signal outputted from the data transmit-receive processing part(207) and outputs it to the high pass filter(205). The data transmit-receive processing part(207) demodulates the ADSL signal outputted from the driver(206), converts it in accordance with user interface standards and transmits the converted signal to the user interface(208). The user interface(208) executes interfacing processing for the signal received from the data transmit-receive processing part(207) and generates a home PNA(Phone Networking Alliance) signal of 5.5MHz to 9.5MHz. The first band pass filter(201) passes only the home PNA signal frequency band outputted from the user interface(208) and supplies it to a telephone line(1000).
