PURPOSE: A power control system is provided to control the electric power by using a wrong connection data on a plurality of peripherals connected to the computer via the bus, and prevent a wrong operation of the computer caused by the wrong connection of the peripherals to the computer. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a root data hub(14), a hub(20), a USB keyboard(30), a USB mouse(40), and a data hub circuit(60). The root data hub(14) is connected to the hub(20) via a wire cable(22) to make an interactive data transmission. The USB keyboard(30) is connected to the first port(Port1) of the hub(20) and the USB mouse(40) with a lower power consumption is connected to the second port(Port2) of the hub(20). The data hub circuit(60), installed within the hub(20), detects the existence of the peripherals by using the resistance(RT) within the peripherals. A switching device controls a power distribution for the connected peripherals in response to the signals detected by the data hub circuit(60).
