PURPOSE: The method for storing and managing the schema structure is provided to improve the efficiency of the schema storage and management by integrally storing the whole schema structure to the auxiliary memory when the system exits and by effectively rebuilding the whole schema structure to the main memory when the system starts. CONSTITUTION: The schema node of the main memory is altered to the middle schema node for storing the physical address of class node(301). The class node of the main memory is altered to the middle class node for keeping the physical address of attribute nodes and class restraint nodes(302). The attribute node of the main memory is altered to the middle attribute node for keeping the physical address of attribute restraint nodes(303). The attribute restraint node, a single node of the schema structure, is altered to the auxiliary memory attribute restraint node and stored, the physical address of the auxiliary memory attribute restraint node is written in the middle attribute node(304). If all the attribute restraint nodes, existing main memory attribute node are processed(305). If the attribute nodes are the middle attribute nodes, the physical address of the auxiliary memory attribute node is written in the middle class node(306).
