PURPOSE: A driving circuit of a field emission display (FED) is provided to decrease power consumption and enable high speed action by installing a switch equipped with NMOS transistor at the lower part of a cathode so that the cathode is separated from a cathode line, thereby being connected only to picture elements to which data is applied. CONSTITUTION: In a driving circuit of a field emission display, the driving circuit of a field emission display (FED) comprises a gate scan driving circuit part (470) sequentially applying a certain voltage pulse width to the gate line by being connected to a gate line and a gate electrode respectively; a cathode data driving circuit (430) part outputting data signals; a plurality of switching elements equipped at the lower part of the cathode of each FED picture elements by being drawn out from the cathode line; a buffer (473) connected to the switching element of each FED picture elements; and a controller (410) applying image signals applied from the outside to the gate scan driving circuit part (470) and the cathode data driving circuit part (430) as a certain voltage signal.
