PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute one drive source which functions both as a drive source of a mechanism for conveying a film sheet material and as a drive source of a mechanism for opening/closing a seal for forming a buffer material. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for manufacturing a buffer material seals a long-sized cylindrical sheet material 2 to be conveyed, superposes both width ends 2a of the material 2 and seals the superposed parts 2b to be formed in a cylindrical state, conveys the material 2 at a predetermined distance by a feed roller mechanism 4 while filling the air in the material 2 and then seals the material 2 filled with air in a strip-like state in an overall width by a second sealing part 6. Conveying of the mechanism 4 and opening/closing of the sealing part 6 are driven by a same pulse motor 12. The mechanism 4 has a power transmitting time delaying mechanism 17 and a one-way clutch 18, and conveys the material 2 at the predetermined distance in the conveying direction after the material 2 is separated at a certain distance from the start of opening operation only in the step of opening from the closing after sealing by the sealing part 6. |
