PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide knob portion retractable latch lock which is applicable to a door for a pipe space of an electric appliance, or the like, is simple in construction and inexpensive in cost, but can exhibit a quality appearance. SOLUTION: In the knob portion receding/protruding type latch lock, a lock 2 has knob portion 1 which is held in a recessed position when not used, but is automatically protruded by being biased by a spring when unlocked. The lock 2 has a cum driving shaft 9 at a rear end thereof, to which an interlocking cum 3 is attached, and further a latch 4 having a projection 16 for engaging with the interlocking cum 3 is slidably attached to a latch guide 18 in a manner being projectively biased by a spring 19. Then, the interlocking cum 3 is rotated by rotation of the knob portion 1, and then the latch 4 is pulled by the interlocking cum 3 to the interior of the latch guide 18.
