PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey coins and used cards from each inter-machine ball dispenser to the end of an island and easily sort out the coins and cards at a terminal to collect the sorted coins and cards into a predetermined safe and a card storage box. SOLUTION: In this collecting device in a game machine, the coins ejected from a cash type inter-machine ball dispenser are conveyed to the end of the island and collected in the safe provided at the island end, and the used cards ejected from a card type inter-machine ball dispenser are conveyed to the island end and collected into the card storage box provided at the island end. The collecting device includes: a main conveying portion using a common path through which the coins and used cards are conveyed to the island end; a sorting mechanism by which the coins and cards conveyed to the end of the common passage by the main conveying portion are separated from one another, with the coins made to fall by their own weight and the cards allowed to go straight and sorted; a coin conveying portion for feeding the dropped coins into the safe; and a card conveying portion for feeding the cards into the card storage box.
