Cpds. of formula: (where n is 2, 3 or 4; R is not >16 C alkyl opt. substd. by >=1 OH gps.) posses analgesic, antiinflammatory and antipyretic activity for use as antirheumatic agents at an adult, daily, oral dose of 0.1 to 2g. Prepn. is by esterification of the corresp. acids or by transesterification.
