PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain (a part of) a more effective catalytic antibody having an esterase activity. SOLUTION: This is an antibody having an enhanced esterase activity to a prodrug having an ester linkage in its molecule compared with the original catalytic antibody, a mutant modified by substituting, deleting, inserting and/or adding one amino acid or more in, from, into and/or to the vicinity of the active center of the antibody, or (a fragment of) L-chain of Fab part containing the active center having an ability of binding to the prodrug or to a prodrug produced in a transition state formed upon the hydrolysis of the ester. |
