PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sensitive recording medium having excellent light resistance and no damage of a thermal head. SOLUTION: The heat sensitive recording medium comprises a first ultraviolet curable resin layer containing an ultrafine titanium oxide having a mean primary particle size of 0.01 to 0.05 μm and formed on a heat sensitive recording layer, and a second ultraviolet curable resin layer formed on the first layer. In this case, the using amount of the titanium oxide can be selected from a range of 3 to 100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the ultraviolet curable resin. Then, to improve coatability as an ink and to improve printability and to prevent sticking, the second resin layer containing a higher fatty acid metal salt of an inorganic pigment, an organic pigment, a zinc stearate, a calcium stearate, or the like, a paraffin, a paraffin oxide, a polyethylene, a polyethylene oxide, an amide stearate, wax such as a castor wax, a silicon or the like is used. |
