PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel compound, 9-(3,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)-5,8,8a,9-tetra- hydro [3',4':6,7]-naphto [2, 3-d] [1,3]-dioxole-6(5aH)-one, that has high activity in the anti-tumor therapy with high solubility and high tolerance and is useful as a novel antitumor agent and a novel cytotoxic agent. SOLUTION: The novel compound is represented by formula (I) [where R is a group of formula (i) and formula (ii); X and Y are each H or the like; W is H or the like; A is a single bond or the like, G is H and the like; R1 is H or the like]. The production process of the novel compound and pharmaceutical preparation containing the same are provided.
