PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller for a ship that can decrease the number of engine revolutions smoothly when a throttle valve is closed suddenly regardless of the shifting position of a shift mechanism. SOLUTION: In a propeller for ship, a crankshaft 10 in a fuel injection type four-cycle engine 9 rotates a propeller 29 through a shift mechanism 25. Air is guided into a cylinder 11 in an engine through a throttle valve 72. Fuel is injected into air from an injector 76, and a control device 111 determines the fuel injection quantity of the injector based on the opening of the throttle valve. When the throttle valve is closed suddenly in almost completely closed state, the control device cuts the fuel injection quantity if the shift mechanism is in a forward movement position. The cutting of the fuel injection quantity may not be performed when the shift mechanism is in a neutral position. |
