PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of positioning a recording element substrate. SOLUTION: A recording element unit H 1002 constituted of a recording element substrate H1100 and a platelike member 1200 having a face for adhesion to which the recording element substrate H1100 is positioned and adhesively fixed and also which has a first reference face H1200a serving as a reference for positioning the recording element substrate H1100, is assembled into a holder member H1500. In this case, a first reference face H1200a of the platelike member H1200 is fitted to the second reference faces H1502a, H1502b of the holder member H1500 having the second reference faces H1502a, H1502b to which the first reference face H1200a of the platelike member H1200 is fitted and which is fitted, in a freely attachable/detachable manner, to the reference face of the part for mounting of a carriage member M4001. Further, the recording element unit H1002 and the holder member 1500 are adhesively fixed by means of a low temperature (normal temperature) curable adhesive. |
