PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for refilling a replaceable ink container. SOLUTION: This ink container comprises an upper section and a bottom section disposed in a gravity coordinate system. In addition, the replaceable ink container is equipped with a capillary storage member disposed therein and an outlet disposed on the bottom section. A refilling apparatus includes a fluid interconnect which is so constituted that it is inserted into the bottom section to compress the capillary storage member.
