PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front body structure that improves the efficiency of energy absorption upon an excessive frontal input to an automobile. SOLUTION: The front body structure for an automobile comprises a longitudinally extending apron side member 1 at each end of a widthwise extending bulkhead 3, and an apron panel 6 disposed by the side of each apron side member 1 and swollen to form a strut tower 7 and a wheel house 8. A bulkhead piece 10 is arranged near the place where each apron side member 1 is fixed to the bulkhead 3. The bulkhead pieces 10 increase the rigidity of the bulkhead 3 and receive the apron side members 1 rigidly.
