发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ELIMINATING DISSOLVED OXYGEN IN WATER USING ELECTROCHEMICAL CATALYTIC REACTION
摘要 PURPOSE: Provided is a method and apparatus for eliminating dissolved oxygen in water using electrochemical catalytic reaction, especially for preventing metal materials such as boiler pipes and cooling facilities from being corroded by dissolved oxygen in water by means of charged electrodes made of activated carbon fiber (ACF). CONSTITUTION: Raw water which is initially stored in a storage tank (1) flows into a catalytic reactor (12), being mixed with at least one reductant selected from hydrazine, carbo hydrazide, diethylhydoxylamine, methyl-ethyl-ketoxime, ascorbic acid, and erythorbic acid after passing through a dissolved oxygen meter (3), and a flow-rate controlling means (4). The catalytic reactor consists of a standard electrode (Ag/AgCl, 9), a plurality of ACF catalytic cathodes (11) and a plurality of ACF catalytic anodes (10) which are installed in turn with cathodes. The anode is connected with both an ammeter (7) and an electrometer for accelerating electrolysis, and the cathode is connected with the ammeter (7). The treated water in the catalytic reactor is supplied to facilities requiring oxygen free water after being filtrated with a membrane filter (13). Optionally, ACF is supported with 0 to 5wt.% of at least one metal selected from palladium, platinum, gold, silver, cobalt, nickel, iron, and copper followed by calcining in a temperature range of 200 to 800deg.C for over 4 hours in order to activate catalytic activity.
