摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a gap between a barrel portion of a bobbin and the inside of a layer consisting of a linear material wound thereon by producing a less change in barrel size with the change of an ambient temperature of the bobbin on which the linear material such as optical fiber is wound, thus preventing the collapse of regular winding of the linear material due to the occurrence of the gap and smoothing the delivery of the linear material from the bobbin. SOLUTION: A linear material wound bobbin which has a cylindrical barrel portion 2 and two disc collars 1 provided at both ends of the barrel portion 2 comprises a separation part 2a formed in a circumferential portion of the barrel portion 2 along the axial direction so that force acts in the direction of increasing the barrel size of the barrel portion 2 by the energization of a spring laid in the separation part 2a when the barrel size is reduced with the reduction of a gap in the separation part 2a. Further, a fixing means such as a fixing pin is provided for fixing the barrel size at a constant value which is less than the maximum value.
