PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a double layer woven fabric for paper making capable of improving fiber supporting properties in the advance direction of paper making face, rigidity, strength and abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This layer double woven fabric 1 for paper making comprises a woven fabric layer 2 of paper making face side constituted of wefts 21 of paper making face side and floating yarns 22 and a woven fabric layer 3 constituted of wefts 31 of traveling face side. Warps 4 are woven with the wefts 21 of the paper making face side, the floating yarns 22 and the wefts 31 of the traveling face side to form a double layer woven fabric 1 of integrated double layers. The wefts 21 of the paper making face side, the floating yarns 22 and the wafts 31 of the traveling face side are made of nylon and the warps 4 are made of polyester. The double layer woven fabric 1 for paper making as an example is a woven fabric to form complete texture by 15 warps 4, the wafts 31 of traveling face side are woven into the texture by the warps 4 at two parts and the wafts 21 of paper making side and the floating yarns 22 are woven into the texture by the warps 4 at three parts.
