PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel wire for CO2 welding with a quality to keep an excellent B configuration as well as an arc stabilization and a reduction of quantity of spatter. SOLUTION: As a steel wire for the pulsed CO2 welding wire providing more than 7 pulse per one globular transfer, its composition are regulated to contain C: <=0.15 mass %, Si: 0.3 to 2.0 mass %, Mn: 0.5 to 2.5 mass %, Ti: 0.15 to 0.30 mass % and to limit S: less or equal 0.030 mass %, Ca: less or equal 0.0015 mass % with the remainder to be composed of Fe and unavoidable impurities.
