PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing device which can simply take out a matter to be difficultly crushed carelessly charged to the inside of a crushing chamber from the outside of the crushing chamber and which can reduce load on a worker in a removing work of the matter to be difficultly crushed. SOLUTION: The crushing device of this invention is provided with a crushing rotor 10 which is provided with a crushing blade 13 and is freely rotatable and a fixed blade 16 which is arranged along an outer peripheral surface of the crushing rotor 10 inside the crushing chamber 2 accommodating the matter to be crushed. The matter crushed by shearing action of the crushing blade 13 and the fixed blade 16 is exhausted from a space between the outer peripheral surface of the crushing rotor 10 and the fixed blade 16 to the outside of the crushing chamber 2. In this crushing device, when the matter to be difficultly crushed P is interposed between the crushing blade 13 and the fixed blade 16, the fixed blade 16 is made to be away from the outer peripheral surface of the crushing rotor 10 so that the matter to be difficultly crushed P can pass between the outer peripheral surface of the crushing rotor 10 and the fixed blade 16.
