PURPOSE: A method for confirming the position of a terminal in a mobile communication system is provided to rapidly confirm the position information of a target terminal by checking the present position, moving direction and moving speed of the other side's terminal on the move. CONSTITUTION: A radio base station(23) transmits a radio signal to a mobile phone office(22) and the second terminal(25) that wants to know the location of the first terminal(24) on the move. An information center(21) checks a signal transmitting and receiving state between the first terminal(24) and the radio base station(23) and a handoff interval generated when the first terminal(24) moves from a specific service area to a different service area, analyzes the moving distance, moving direction and moving speed of the first terminal(24), and provides service if required. The mobile phone office(22) connected with the information center(21) transmits and receives necessary information with the radio base station(23). |
