PURPOSE: A sealed battery is provided to improve sealability and reliability of the battery by preventing rotational deformation of the terminal lead-out and a gasket in constructing a cap assembly using a terminal lead-out. CONSTITUTION: The sealed battery comprises a can(4) carrying an electricity generating element; a cap plate(60) coupled to the upper side opened mouth of the can, wherein a penetrating hole(62) is formed on the cap plate; a gasket(80) inserted into the penetrating hole; an electrode terminal lead-out(120) inserted into the hollow space(86) of the gasket, insulted by interposing an insulator(100) at the opposite side of the gasket and coupled to the upper and lower sides of the cap plate, wherein a stopper is installed at either side of the cap plate or the gasket for blocking the rotation of the gasket, one electrode of the electricity generating element is electrically connected to a rectangular can, and other electrode is electrically connected to the terminal lead-out(120).
