PURPOSE: A piezoelectric ceramic composition is provided to reduce a temperature for enabling the piezoelectric composition to be fired, to exhibit an electromechanical coupling coefficient in a level to be practically applied at the firing temperature of 1,100 deg.C or less, and to be used as a material for a piezoelectric ceramic element or the like, such as a piezoelectric ceramic filter, a piezoelectric ceramic vibrator and a piezoelectric ceramic oscillator. CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric ceramic composition is characterized at least by Si of 0.3 mol or less based on 1 mol of Bi included in the main component represented by the general formula, SrBi2Nb2O9 in the piezoelectric ceramic composition consisting essentially of the main component represented by the general formula.
