PURPOSE: Provided is a process for removing dye, metal ions, surfactants, humic substances of waste leachate from waste water by using a polyethyleneglycol grafted polystyrene (polystyrene-g-polyethyleneglycol) spherical resin adsorbent. CONSTITUTION: The polystyrene-g-polyethyleneglycol spherical resin comprises 50wt.% of a polyethylene glycol resin having a molecular weight of more than 500, and a polystyrene resin which is crosslinked by 1-10wt.% of divinyl benzene. The contaminating matters are removed by using the polystyrene-g-polyethyleneglycol spherical resin adsorbent and recovered by using an organic solvent such as dimethyl formamide, dimethyl acetamide, and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone.
