PURPOSE: A phase detection apparatus for transformer is provided to allow the remote central monitoring station to promptly perceive the location and state of the corresponding transformer upon occurrence of power service interruption caused by phase formation of the transformer. CONSTITUTION: A phase detection apparatus comprises a three-phase DC voltage output unit(100) having a plurality of voltage down units for lowering the voltage derived to the secondary voltage of a three-phase transformer into a predetermined level and rectifiers connected to output terminals of voltage down units, respectively, so as to output the DC voltage corresponding to each phase; a phase detection unit(200) for outputting phase detection data upon occurrence of voltage difference when voltages having phases with different polarity output from the three-phase DC voltage output unit are combined or when three phases have no voltage; and a phase existence transmission unit(300) for transmitting the data corresponding to the phase existence to the central monitoring station in accordance with the data output from the phase detection unit.
