AUTOMATIC CHOPPER CHUTE SHIFTING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A chopper chute shifting device prevents partial side wear of a chopper knife due to a scrap to lengthen replacement cycle of a chopper drum and improve productivity. CONSTITUTION: A chopper chute shifting device comprises a base(1), a driving motor(5), a rotary cap(9), a frame(17) and a shifting roll. The driving motor(5) is fixed on a fixed frame(3) fixed on the base(1) with a certain gap with the base(1). The rotary cap(9) of oval form is eccentrically engaged with a driving shaft of the driving motor(5) to be rotated by the rotation of the driving shaft. The frame(17) is installed on a scrap leading chute(11) longitudinally and contacts with the rotary cap(9) by a touch bar to rotate within a certain angle with a hinge axis as the rotating axis. The shifting roll is rotatably engaged with the scrap leading chute(11) with a certain gap, movably engaged with one end of the frame(17), moved by the rotary cap(9) and the touch bar within a limited range and leads a scrap(110) led by the scrap leading chute(11) to the central direction of a chopper knife(19) to prevent partial side wear of the chopper knife(19) by the scrap(110).
