<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which can improve the distance of a hit ball. SOLUTION: This golf club head 1 is provided with a hollow part (i) therein. The inside surface 2b of a face part 12 has a recessed groove 7 extending to an annular shape along the peripheral edge of the inside surface to form a thin part 9. When the face part 2 is imaginarily divided to a crown region Ac, a sole side region As, a tow side region At and a heel side region Ah, the average thickness (tca) of the crown region Ac, the average thickness (tsa) of the sole side region As, the average thickness (tta) of the tow side region At and the average thickness (tha) of the heel side region Ah of the thin part 9 satisfy either one of the following formulae: tca<tta, tca<tha, tsa<tta and tsa<=tha; and tca<=tta, tca<=tha, tsa<tta and tsa<tha.</p> |
